Product code: VINTAGE Stratton/Josiah Wedgwood Compact circa: sale 1950s
This blue jasperware with its white cameo on the top of this goldtone compact was made by Josiah Wedgwood and sons. The compact itself was crafted by Stratton of England. The cameo is of the goddess Aurora in a chariot. The inside features a beveled mirror wearing the original sticker. The powder bed has never been filled so is as new. The bottom has the Stratton signature and has a bit of scuff/color change in 2 spots that can be seen with movement. Please see photos. This is a very nice vintage Wedgewood piece. 3.5" across.
